![]() ZTM Expands in Wichita; Wins Boeing Seattle Contract In June of 2007, ZTM, Inc., a manufacturer of precision machine parts and assemblies for the aerospace industry announced an expansion in the Wichita area. ZTM has two Wichita facilities, with headquarters and manufacturing facility at 4011 East 31st Street South and a second manufacturing facility at 4033 Navajo Lane. ZTM will expand its operations at its 4011 East 31st Street South facility. The expansion is expected to create 40 additional jobs at $39,000 for an expected annual payroll of $1.56 million. In addition, ZTM is expected to make a capital investment of $3.2 million. The company’s expansion is a result of a new contract with Boeing-Seattle, bringing new work to Kansas that was previously done out-of-state. ZTM now employs 70 people at its two facilities. ZTM is a tier-one supplier to the aviation industry. “We appreciate the assistance provided by GWEDC and the dedication Kim Young gave to our project as we secured the new contract,” said Brad Julius, President of ZTM. “The assistance the City and County provided through property tax abatement and a forgivable loan was very helpful especially with such a capital-intensive project.” The Greater Wichita Economic Development Coalition (GWEDC) coordinated a package of incentives from the City of Wichita, Sedgwick County and the Kansas Department of Commerce that includes property tax abatement, forgivable loans, tax credits and employee training investments. “It’s no secret that the aerospace industry has been a pillar of the Kansas economy for decades,” said Steve Kelly, Kansas Department of Commerce Deputy Secretary for Business Development. “ZTM will fit in perfectly with the other world-class companies that have helped make Wichita a leader in aerospace manufacturing.” | Contacts: Greater Wichita Economic Development Coalition 350 W.
